Environmental Charter High School Gardena

On the 22nd of April 2023, Saturday, we celebrated Earth Day with ECHS Gardena and assisted with the assembly of our raised garden beds during their Founder's Day Event.

The school's environmental/gardening club were prepping for their club activities. They came across our raised beds and loved the thought of using our raised garden beds for their activities. They contacted us to order the raised garden beds and invited our team to their Founder's Day Event to help with setting these beds up. 

On the day of the event, different stations were set up for assembly. There was a station for peeling off the film that protects the panels from scratches. That is followed by loosely assembling the beds to the configuration that the school decided on, the 2'x8'. After that is completed, we tighten the nuts with a ratchet and put on the safety stripping. The raised bed is then completed. We also put together two of the semicircle garden beds. 

Many volunteers and young children attended the event and helped with the assembly of the beds.

The members of the club will be planting vegetables, fruits, herbs and many more in these garden beds. The members as well as students will educated on gardening and will have the opportunity to nurture the seeds they have sown into a thriving harvest. We are excited to see what they will grow!
