Olle Gardens worked with Gompers PTA for their campus beautification project and Earth Day Event. They have placed a garden bed outside each class and planted over 150 flowers, plants and vegetables in the Olle raised garden beds. The classes will compete to see who does the best in caring for their plants.Â
On the 22nd of April 2023, Saturday, we celebrated Earth Day with ECHS Gardena and assisted with the assembly of our raised garden beds during their Founder's Day Event. The school's environmental/gardening club were prepping for their club activities. They came across our raised beds and loved the thought of using our raised garden beds for their activities. Our team was invited to their Founder's Day Event to help with setting these beds up.Â
Montessori Shir-Hashirim Los Angeles, is a preschool home to many young children of different traditions, race, color, religion or national origin in Hollywood. The school was facing an issue as the young children felt uncomfortable being watched as they make their way to school or out of school.
Black Thumb Farm built and installed our raised garden beds in the schools with the goal of improving and beautifying the existing school ecosystem. Their Garden Educators invite youth to learn to farm and garden in ways that benefit people as well as the natural environment. They teach the histories of traditional farming practices and work the land to continue these closed circle processes.
